APPLICATIONS ENGINEER

PURPOSE OF POSITION
Provide technical and engineering support to the marketing and sales efforts of Rinnai’s Heating, Cooking and Water Heating products areas for
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with the development and maintenance of technical support manuals, literature, and other materials vital to the sale of Rinnai products in
-
Develop and maintain applications manuals for Rinnai heating and water heating products
-
Assist with the development and maintenance of product application sizing charts and resources for heating and water heating products
-
Provide product application sizing and design assistance to internal and external Sales and Service staff, Company Reps, Distributors and Customers
-
Assist the Technical Service department with in-house training of field service support personnel
-
Support the development of technical support documents for Rinnai products and maintain the technical documents region of Rinnai’s website
-
Support the efforts of Rinnai’s Task Force Team (TFT) with the development and testing of new residential water heating products and applications
-
Awareness and compliance with all Rinnai policies and procedures
-
Application Troubleshooting both in house and in the field
-
Assist Architects and Engineers in the design and installation of water heater and heating systems
-
Embrace and support growing business demands in a changing environment
-
Various projects as requested

Awareness and compliance of Company Policies and Procedures
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
-
1-3 years Engineering design experience in the Commercial HVAC or related technical environment
-
Experience with hydronic heating system design / installation
-
Experience with AutoCAD or other, similar, CAD software
-
Commercial awareness with maturity and understanding of business operations
-
Ability to develop high levels of cooperation and respect from staff, colleagues and suppliers alike
-
High level of personal integrity and honesty

Team player able to operate with independence and enthusiasm

Technical, Customer service and Quality discipline
Educational Requirements
-
4 year Engineering Degree or 5-7 years equivalent experience
Skills

Working knowledge of all Rinnai products preferred

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Strong coordination and logistic skills

Strong Business / Office skills discipline (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) such as developing spreadsheets, graphs, etc.
