PURPOSE OF POSITION |
Provide applications engineering solutions, evaluations, materials development and support within the Rinnai portfolio of products including; existing, newly developed or strategically planned.
Specific focus on water bearing Rinnai systems including but not limited to Boilers or Combi-boilers.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES |
· Develop, manage, evaluate and assist with materials preparation for Rinnai water heating / space heating product applications.
· Over-site and participation with lab testing programs related to new Rinnai water heating products and applications.
· Assist with the development and maintenance of technical support manuals, literature, application guides and other materials vital to the sale of Rinnai products in North America.
· Develop and maintain applications manuals for Rinnai heating and water heating products.
· Assist with the development and maintenance of product application sizing charts and resources for heating and water heating products.
· Assist with in-house training of internal and external employees.
· Support the development of technical support documents for Rinnai products and maintain the technical documents region of Rinnai’s website
· Awareness and compliance with all Rinnai policies and procedures.
· Application and product troubleshooting both in house and in the field.
· Evaluations and idea generation for new product opportunities based on marketplace need.
· Assist Architects and Engineers in the design and installation of water heater and heating systems.
· Stay abreast of codes and standards as they apply to water heating and space heating applications.
· Embrace and support growing business demands in a changing environment

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS |
EXPERIENCE
· 5-10 years of boiler / combi-boiler or related hydronic heating product experience in the Commercial / Residential HVAC or related technical environment.
· Engineering experience in a laboratory, product evaluation and testing environment.
· Experience with the development of technical application materials.
· Experience with hydronic heating system design / installation.
· Experience with hydronic systems components.
· Commercial awareness with maturity and understanding of business operations.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
· 4 year Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology or related degree or 5-10 years equivalent experience.
SKILLS
· Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills.
· Technical proficiency in related field.
· High computer literacy.
· Ability to produce reports on technical issues.
· Highly developed team collaboration and interaction skills.
· Good planning and organizational skills together with the ability to effectively prioritize and define resource needs.
